ALL ROADS LEAD TO CAVAN AS MCGUINNESS’ ARMY MARCHES ON

Jim McGuinness’ army is on the march again today.Donegal fans

Having convincingly dispatched of Tyrone in the first round, Donegal are hoping to add the scalp of Down to their Ulster Championship war-chest.

A third consecutive Ulster Final appearance awaits the Donegal team if they manage to do so.

Donegal are hot favourites to emerge victorious from Kingspan Breffni Park in Cavan today (throw-in 2pm).

But Jim McGuinness will be taking nothing for granted against a Down side who worked hard to see off the threat of Derry in their first round encounter.

Both Karl Lacey and Neil Gallagher have been omitted from the starting line-up but don’t be surprised to see either make an appearance.

The green and gold army will be on the march from early morning today but local reports say numbers will be down.

The forecast is for rain so bring the umbrellas and the wellies.

But no matter what the forecast, we’re hoping another glow of Ulster Championship sunshine will break out across Donegal just before 4pm!
