DONEGAL FANS IN CO FERMANAGH ROAD CRASH

PSNIPSNI officers are investigating a road traffic accident in Co Fermanagh this evening after a collision between Donegal fans and a local driver.

A Donegal motorist drove straight on at a set of lights in Enniskillen, instead of taking a mandatory left turn – and crashed into the side of another car.

The front of the Donegal fan’s saloon was completely destroyed; whilst there was severe damage to the side of the other car.

The incident happened just after 6pm.

PSNI officers were quickly on the scene – the crash happened just 100 metres from the town’s police station.

“The crash was at a junction where you can only turn left in that lane; and in the other lane you have to turn right,” said one eye-witness.

“The Donegal fan went straight across the junction and ploughed into the side of another car.

“There was an almighty bang.”

No-one was seriously injured in the incident.
