1044921_593611487328641_1067870832_nADVENTURER Jason Black has been honoured by his home town of Letterkenny.

And he says he was proud to share it with his dad Billy.

On Sunday Jason will lead hundreds of people on a trip to the top of Mount Errigal – completing his promise to take the Donegal flag he took to the top of Everest to the highest peak in Donegal.

“We’re heading off at 2pm from the car park at Errigal where I’d love if you all can join my family take the summit flag back to where it all started,” said Jason.

“Before I left I sneaked away quitely one morning very early with the flag and on the top of Mt Errigal I made a promise to myself that I would be back standing proudly and so it will be done on Sunday.”

Jason was given a civic reception to mark his trip to Everest.

“I will be just as proud to make it to the top of Errigal again,”
