Lotto & 100+ Clubred hughs

There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Rudi Feenstrand, Fanad and Frances Wilson, Carricknamana won €25 each in Lucky Dip. Numbers drawn were 7,8,4,1,5,2,3,6. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €2,600. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 6th July – Charlie Doherty, 13th July – Bernard Devine, 20th July – Cathal Doherty and 27th July – Tony Gallagher.

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Brendan McConnell who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

Seniors & Reserves

Both teams were in championship action at the weekend. The reserves made the long journey to Ardara on Saturday with a large squad of 28 players. They made a bright start to the game with a goal and a point from Mickey Sweeney but the lads never built on this and trailed by a point a the break 1-3 to 0-7. The home side pushed on in the second half to increase their lead and despite their best efforts the boys couldn’t get back on terms. The final score flattered Ardara a bit and the lads are definitely in with a shout in the home leg. Final score: Ardara 3-10 Red Hughs 2-5.

The seniors played Moville at home on Sunday and came away with a good win. The first half saw the lads lead by five early on with the first goal coming from Calvin Bradley and they led by 3 at half time 1-6 to 1-3. Red Hughs continued to press in the second half with further points from Damien Browne and goals from Calvin Bradley and Colm Melaugh ensuring victory. A good display again from the lads with a tough away trip in the second leg to come. Final score: Red Hughs 3-8 Moville 1-6

The second leg of these games are expected to be played next weekend but the fixtures are not confirmed at the time of writing. Keep an eye on club Facebook page, Donegal GAA website and local press for updates.
