GAA NEWS: ST EUNAN’S AND NAOMH CONAILL TO CONTEST COUNTY U-14 FINAL

St Eunan's GAA logoTHIS year’s county U-14 boys Final will be between St Eunan’s and Naomh Conaill after the Letterkenny lads knocked out Ardara in their semi-final clash on Wednesday evening.

The Glenties boys beat Mac Cumhaills in the other semi-final.

It was far from a straight-forward affair for St Eunan’s – with some lovely football on display.

And no-one seemed surprised when the battle went to extra-time.

In the end maybe St Eunan’s were that wee bit sharper, and were seven points clear at the half-way point in the extra period.

They saw off the game in the remaining minutes.

Final Score: St Eunan’s 5-12, Ardara 2-11.

In the other semi-final it was the goals that mattered.

If games were won on scores alone, then it would have been Mac Cumhaills in the final.

But Naomh Conaill hit a hatful of goals to win the tie on a scoreline of 6-05 to 2-12.

The final is next Wednesday.
