Daniel O’Donnell has jetted back to his Ireland after his beloved mum Julia was rushed to hospital.
Julia, 93, has been admitted to Dungloe Community Hospital.
Julia, who will be 94 years old next Monday (July 15th), has been flooded with well-wishers since she was hospitalised ten days ago.
But Daniel, who jetted in from his luxury villa on the sun-kissed island of Tenerife, said his mum is making a full recovery.
“I know some of you have heard that my mother hadn’t been too well recently. She spent the last 10 days in hospital.
“But I just want to let you know that she is back on the road to recovery again. The doctor has said he will let her go home on Monday.
“She would like to thank you all for the get well wishes. Next week on the 15th July she will be celebrating her 94th birthday and already the cards have been flooding in so she is delighted that you are all thinking of her,” she said.
Julia has been in fine health and often attends Daniel’s concerts.
She spends a lot of her time knitting and has knitted for Queen Elizabeth and socks for Pope Benedict.
She even received a ‘thank you’ letter back from Queen Elizabeth for her gift in January.
