Donegal is basking in the 90s!
According to Letterkenny man Brendan Orr’s car the temperature outside is 32.5 degrees centigrade or 90.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
Brendan took the picture of his car at Bomany a short time ago.
We know some people might argue that it’s not actually that temperature outside….but Brendan’s car takes its reading from the outside air temperature!
But it has confirmed what we probably all suspected by now – it’s hot out there.
And the good news for everyone planning to head to the beach is that forecasters say the good spell is to last at least the rest of this week.
Shops and businesses across the county say they are looking forward to an influx of customers from across the border from Friday onwards.
Shopkeeper Anthony Arthur from Letterkenny says he can’t keep up with the demand for 99s!
“As quickly as we’re pulling them people are buying them.
“I wish it was this hot all year around so I could open an ice-cream shop,” he laughed.
Meanwhile in the Stranorlar electoral area, homes are facing water restrictions from 10pm tonight.
