GAA NEWS: NAOMH COLMCILLE DO DOUBLE OVER ST.NAUL’S

Weekly NotesNAOMH COLMCILLE GAA

The seniors and reserves both recorded vital home wins against St. Nauls on Saturday evening.

The seniors took on St. Nauls on Saturday evening looking to avenge a narrow league defeat in Mouncharles earlier in the year. The lads gained a well deserved victory over the league leaders on a full time scoreline of Naomh Colmcille 2-13 2-6 St. Nauls. A home tie against Carndonagh is scheduled for next Saturday (20th).

The reserves achieved a league double over St. Nauls in Newtown on Saturday evening, with victory by the narrowest of margins in a very tight game. Full time score Naomh Colmcille 1-11 1-10 St. Nauls. The win means the reserves are well involved in the quest for league honours. Carndonagh are next up for the reserves on Saturday (20th).

The u12s hosted Robert Emmetts in their last fixure of the year on Monday. Both teams were involved in very competitive matches – well done to all the players involved throughout the season.

The u16 match got the points from their fixture against Muff as Muff were unable to field. The next match is scheduled for Friday evening at home against Carndonagh.

We had a fantastic turnout of over 50 kids for the Naomh Colmcille Cul camp, held in glorious weather last week. The kids were delighted with their new kit and bag. Well done to Sharon for co-ordinating and to Darina, Alison and Ronan for helping throughout.
