A 32-year-old soldier based at Finner Camp has died after falling from a height in McKee Barracks, Dublin in the early hours of the morning.
Private Patrick (Paddy) Conlon was based in the 28th Infantry Battalion but had an address at Cooloney, Co Sligo.
He was pronounced dead in the Mater Hospital at 2.10 am.
A Military Police and Garda Siochána investigation into the incident has been launched.
