ArdaraGAALogoThere was no winner of our weekly flotto. The numbers drawn were2, 17, 20 and 29. Nearest were Owen and Orla Hughes, Conlin Road, Killybegs, and Martin Bennett, Tullycleave.

Good luck to Paddy McGrath and Pat Shovelin who are part of the Donegal set-up that tackle Mayo at Croke Park this weekend in the All-Ireland quarter-finals. Anyone with any ticket queries should contact Mary on 087 6878614.

Our Reserves are in action this Saturday night when they take on Killybegs at home, 6.30pm throw-in. Our Third Team are away to Glenswilly on Friday evening at 8pm.

Well done to the U12s who won the Division 1 Shield on Monday evening after a tough battle with St. Naul’s, winning on a 1-8 to 2-3 score-line. Team captain Matthew Sweeney accepted the trophy on behalf of the side from James Mc Hugh who presented it on behalf of the Southern Board. The team now take a break for a few weeks with the U12 Parish League next on the schedule.

Well done to Naoise Campbell and Micheal Molloy who were members of the Donegal U16 Panel who qualified for the Buncrana Cup on Saturday last. Maith Sibh lads.

Our Annual Minor Board Family Day for Down Syndrome will take place on Bank Holiday Monday next starting at 3.pm. (And not Sunday due to the Donegal Match). Another great day in store with Bouncy Castles from Castle Kings, Big Barbecue, Kiddies and Parents races, Skills competitions and much more.. This years Over 40s match will be the Home Team against the Exiles. To qualify for the Exiles, you have to be born and bred in the Parish but now living elsewhere. Some legendary names of the game will be taking part, Anthony Molloy, Martin ‘Rambo’ Gavigan to name but a few.. It’s sure to be a great day. Everyone welcome.

There was no joy for the Minors in Dunkineely last Wednesday in the Southern Championship semi-final. Final Score Ardara 1-5 Four Masters 3-9. Thanks to all the panel and the management team of Martin Bennett Seoirse Doherty and Larry Gallagher for a big effort put in this year despite a long injury list. Hard luck lads.

The U10s took part in the Killybegs Blitz on Saturday, with the A team defeating Bundoran and losing to Killybegs, while the B team had only one game, drawing with the home side. Thanks to Killybegs for their hospitality on the day.

The Under-7 have a match this week v Four Masters, parents will be notified of arrangements.
