Bus Tour

A rare chance to take a historical walk and bus tour around the scenic surrounds of Ards, near Creeslough takes place this Saturday and Sunday.

Run in conjunction with the ‘Creeslough View’, life long Ards local, Ben McFadden will act as the tour guide explaining some of the lesser known facts of an area steeped in amazing history.

On Saturday they will run three bus tours, departing from Ballymore Church at 10am, 1pm and 4pm, which will take you back in time to explain much of the hidden history of the local Forest Park and more.

On Sunday they host the “Grand Ards Historical Walk” leaving from Ards Friary at 10am. This promises to be a fascinating tour and covers little know stories behind the Condemned Road, Mass Rock, Ague Well, the Fairy Hollow, The Three Fork tree and ring forts, as well as many more.

Ben points out:”You could travel all over Ireland and you would never find a town land that is steeped in so much history that had, and still does, have so many famous people. For such a small community, this place has it all.”
