TORRENTIAL RAIN HITS SHOPS AND BUSINESSES IN WEST DONEGAL

Heavy rains have also lashed West Donegal with a number of shops and businesses being badly-hit.

Gallagher’s supermarket in Derrybeg was forced to close for a period shortly after 3pm when water came flooding in.

Largo Foods on the Gaoth Dobhair Business Park was also left with water coming in.

One local said “It’s the worst rain I have seen for a long time. I know Letterkenny got it last week and we all know what happened to the hospital.

“We’re just hoping that that’s the end of it and it doesn’t come back.”
