10 JOBS LOST AS CASTLEFINN COMMUNITY CHILDCARE CENTRE IS CLOSED

Breaking NewsThere is shock and anger among parents and residents of Castlefinn following the announcement that the Community Childcare Centre in the area will be now closed with the loss of ten jobs.

The news comes as a devastating blow to the staff of the facility who it is believed have been kept in the dark surrounding the impending closure of the centre until it was closed last Friday.

It is believed that close to 50 children attended the centre on a daily basis and parents are now not sure if there is anywhere else they can send their kids.

A public meeting was held last night to see if the issue could be resolved, the meeting was attended by anxious parents, staff and residents to see if the centre could be re-opened.

The meeting was also attended by Councillor Patrick McGowan, however nothing positive came from the meeting and no solution was brought forward to get the centre reopened and it now looks certain that the centre will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

This has left parents in the lurch as to where they can send their kids, and leaves ten people without a job.
