The newly crowned Mary from Dungloe Grace Sweeney has sensationally revealed she won the coveted title despite the fact she hobbled around all week with a broken foot.  Grace

Grace who represented Glasgow in this years competition had complained of a sore foot all week but had absolutely no idea how serious her injury was.

After the celebrations had ended the newly crowned Mary from Dungloe  still had considerable discomfort with her foot so she decided to go to the A&E to get it checked out.

It was then revealed that she had in fact broken it.

Nurses were stunned she managed to take part in all of the festival events which included walking the catwalk in Jackson’s hotel and dancing at the gala ball.

The glamorous Grace posted on her Facebook timeline,

“The nurse can’t believe I managed all week with a broken foot, but us Mary’s are tougher than we look.”

“Still at hospital just about to get plastered up had a wonderful week missing all my Mary’s already, had an unreal experience and I’m delighted to be the Mary from Dungloe.”
