A large crowd gathered recently to celebrate the Ballyheerin National School Centenary celebrations in Fanad.

Pupils from past and present rubbed shoulders with teachers from past and present to swap some terrific memories of the renowned school.

As well as celebrations in the school, people were treated to a boat trip across Mulroy Bay to remember how people had to travel to mass by boat before the bridge was built locally.
