There is delight across Donegal tonight as the Fanad, Ramelton, Donegal Town and Mullaghduff bands captured All-Ireland titles at the Fleadh in Derry.

Current Fanad band leader Aishling Shields with former leader and Rose of Dubai Caroline Callaghan.

All bands put in terrific displays to win their respective categories with stiff competition from across the country.

Donegal Town won the Junior Miscellaneous title, Fanad captured the Junior accordian, Mullaghduff won thePipe and Drum title while Ramelton won the Senior Miscellaneous title.

One Fanad band member who could not be part of the celebrations was Caroline Callaghan, the current Rose of Tralee.

Caroline, a proud Fanad band member and former leader, is currently in Tralee getting ready for tomorrow’s Rose of Tralee final.

But the good news for Caroline is that she will get a chance to celebrate with her former bandmates.

A large group of the band have decided to travel to Tralee to support Caroline.

A homecoming party has been organised to meet at Kerrykeel at 9pm heading for Tria-Lough.

Congratulations to all bands on their fantastic success!
