Mac Cumhaills took on Cloughaneely in Mac Cumhaill Park today. The first half half was a low scoring but intense display from both teams. They traded scores and went into the break at 0-04 each. The start of the second half saw Mac Cumhaills storm into the lead with a goal from Rory Dunleavy and after 45 mins Mac Cumhaills lead 1-08 to 0-05. Reserves V Cloughaneely

MacCumhaills started the game with 12 under 21 players, ahead of our championship match with Bundoran. We started very slowly and with Cloughaneelys physical presence, they began to dominate the match but the lads kept sticking at it to leave 3 in it at half time 1-3 to 3 points. Mac Cumhaills scores were from frees from the boot of Steven mulligan. The second half started with the introduction of seasoned defender Gareth Doherty and we started to get a grip of things and with Mickey Patton winning a penalty ,the game turned and we only conceded 3 points in the second half. Our goals from Mark Dorian and Aaron Kelly (pen) won the game on a score line 2-7 to 6.
