The friends of the late Alan McSherry will be holding a ‘paddle out’ in Bundoran bay at the area between The Peak surf break and the Boat Quay in the town at 7pm this evening.

The 48-year-old died in a hit-and-run incident outside the town on Sunday.

“We are doing this in memory of our great friend,” said a Bundoran Surf Company spokesman.

“The Paddle out is open to all and additional suits and boards will be made available to those who may not have them. ”

Alan was a keen surfer.

His body was found by his wife Jo around 5am on Sunday on a narrow road leading to their home.
