The Clinic, officially opened this month, will be based on Scally Place on Justice Walsh Road and will be attended by Dr Aaron Peace.

The Cardiology Clinic will provide GPs and patients with local consultation and diagnostics.

Any resulting procedures will take place at UPMC Beacon Hospital, Sandyford, Dublin, which is easily accessed from Letterkenny via the M1 in just over 3 hours.

Dr Peace is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast. He was awarded a PhD in 2009 for work in the area of Platelet Function in Cardiovascular Disease, funded by the Health Research Board Clinical Research and the Irish Heart Foundation.

In addition to his commitment to UPMC Beacon, Aaron is a Consultant Cardiologist in Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry.

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre (UPMC) operates the Beacon Hospital in Dublin, the UPMC Whitfield Cancer Centre, Waterford and satellite centres in Wexford, Drogheda, Clane and Mullingar.
