LETTERKENNY ROVERS 4 DERRY CITY 4

Letterkenny Rovers and Derry City Reserves were involved in an absolutely thriller in tonight’s USL clash between the sides at Leckview.  letterkenny rovers

Letterkenny came from 4-1 down to produce a stunning comeback and earn a point against a youthful Derry city side.

The men from Derry produced some fantastic football and the slick surface at Leckview suited their expansive passing game.

Derry looked on course for a comfortable win but Letterkenny have been on a fantastic run of form of late and refused to give in.

Darren Mc Elwaine again showed his class with two goals. Considering he sustained a serious injury last season his form this season has been nothing short of staggering.

Oisin Mc Menamin and Anthony Doherty got the other goals for Rovers to rescue a point for Trevor Scanlon’s men.

This game was a fantastic advert for Intermediate football in the with top class performances on show from both sides.
