NEW FUEL PRICE WAR AS BUSINESSMAN SLASHES 5C OFF PETROL

A BUSINESSMAN has launched a new fuel price war.

From 9am today, Mairtin Kelly is cutting five cent off the price of both petrol and diesel at the Centra station at Mountain Top in Letterkenny

It will make his fuel up to 8 cents per litre cheaper than other garages in the town.

It’s understood the price cut will last for several days, with the cut price fuel available until midnight on Saturday.

Mr Kelly was unavailable for comment this morning.

However we understand that prices will be pinned back to 145.9c for diesel. Petrol will sell for 155.9c.

Prices may come down even further in the weeks ahead if a deal over the arms crisis in Syria holds.

The price of crude oil has fallen again as a result of a deal brokered between America and Russia over the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons arsenal.
