HARRY STYLES WHO? – A POEM FOR CONOR

written by Stephen Maguire September 21, 2013
FacebookTweetLinkedInPrint

Hundreds of people have left messages of sympathy and support for Conor Boyle and his family.

Tragic Conor

Tragic Conor

One such message was this poem left by a friend of Conor’s.

We asked the young person permission to use her words which she has agreed to.

She stressed that she was not best friends with Conor but knew him from afar – but enough to pay this beautiful tribute to him.

“Such style and such swag but you didn’t brag

Your sparkling smile could make life so worthwhile,

Your twinkling eyes made the ladies all sigh,

So cool you could rule all the kids in the school

A star on the pitch, a star in the ring, a star on the stage- a star to all age.

A savvy young chap the sky was your limit, Harry Styles who? When Conor Boyle was”innit”..

A beauty to watch and a beauty inside, it’s no wonder your friends reach so far and wide.

Close friends you have many and they want you to know that they stand by your side as you brave this big ride.

So dance with the angels and sing songs of joy

You’ll make heaven look cool with your swagger like Jagger.

Turn your face to the sun and leave the shadows behind

You fought til the end take a rest now young friend.”
