More than 60 members of Finn Valley AC hit the beach at Ballyliffin on Sunday

IF YOU can swing Monday off, it could be the day to hit the beach, say forecasters.

It’s going to be a hot hot day in Donegal with temperatures soaring to 22C or 23C as summer makes a brief return.

Following a very mild weekend, the warm theme will continue.

Monday will see the best of the sunshine, with the heat staying on Tuesday and into Wednesday.

Met Eireann says that in the North West there will be less sunshine later in the week but it could continue mild through until early next week before cooler weather returns.

Enjoy it.

Sixty members of Finn Valley AC certainly did when they took their training to Ballyliffin on Sunday morning.
