Gardai are investigating another spate of break-ins in Letterkenny.

Thieves broke into a number of homes in the Lisnennan Court area.

At least two of the burglaries took place while the families involved were in their homes.

It is understood the thieves broke into the homes by breaking the lock on the front door.

A number of items was taken from one young couple’s home.

The gang then broke into the house next door and stole a number of items.

They then stole the owner’s car to make their getaway with the stolen goods.

The raids come just days after Mayor of Letterkenny Pascal Blake appealed for more Garda manpower after a spate of break-ins in the Wolfetone Place area of the town.

Gardai have confirmed they are investigating the latest break-ins.
