The hearse carrying the late Conor Boyle arrives in Co Donegal today.

This is the poignant and heartbreaking scene as the late Conor Boyle arrives home to his beloved Donegal.

West Donegal came to a silent standstill as the remains of the 18 year old arrived by hearse earlier today.

His older brothers Liam and James, who worked with him in London, travelled in the hearse, while his parents Hugh and Sheila, brothers Shane, Darragh and Owen travelled behind the hearse.

More than 200 students from Loughanure, Annagry and Ranafast National Schools as well as pupils from Rosses Community School and PCC Falcarragh held candles as Conor’s remains arrived.

A guard of honour was formed by members of Naomh Muire GAA Club and the local boxing club.

Pupils, many friends of the beloved young 18 year old popular teenager, wept openly as he arrived home to his final resting place.

Hundreds of people are expected at Conor’s family home in Loughanure in the next two days for his wake.

He will be laid to rest at the Star of the Sea church in Annagry after funeral mass at 1pm on Sunday.
