glentiesGlenties Charity 5K Run /Walk:

On Saturday 5th October a 5K Run / Walk will take place at 1 p.m. from the Community Centre, Glenties in aid of D.C.I.L. and Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland. Register from 12 p.m. at the Community Centre. Adults € 10 and Juniors € 5. Contact number is 087 1373924. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Wedding Bells:

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Grainne Boyle and Brian Delaney, who were married in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Friday 27th September 2013. Grainne is a daughter of Johnny and Christine Boyle, Highlands Hotel, Glenties and Brian is a son of the late Noel and Mary Delaney, Dublin.

Sympathy:

Sincere sympathy is extended to Peadar Molloy and family, Lacklea on the death recently of Peadar’s brother, Patrick Molloy, Dooish, Ballybofey and formerly of Mully, Glenties; also to Patrick’s wife and family and all other relatives and friends.

Harvest Thanksgiving:

Harvest Thanksgiving Service will be held in the Church of Ireland, Glenties next Sunday 6th October at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Glenties Day Care Centre:

Glenties Day Care Centre is trying to build up a Library so that clients can avail of books to read in the days ahead. It would be greatly appreciated that if anyone has suitable books to donate that you would leave them at The Centre or alternatively please contact 9551766 and the books will be collected from you.

Céilí, Sets and Two-Hand Dance Classes:

Céilí, Sets and Two – Hand Dance Classes will commence in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties on Wednesday 9th October from 8 p.m.-9.30 p.m. Tuition by Connie & Anne.

Glenties Care of The Aged CEP Scheme:

Participants are required for the Glenties Care of The Aged CEP Scheme commencing in October. Applications can be made in writing to the Day Centre, Glenties, or by telephone 087 153 9018.

The Country Boy:

The Balor REP & Bluestacks Festival Present ‘The Country Boy’ by John Murphy in The Community Centre Glenties on Friday October 4th at 8.30pm admission €12 / €10 Booking 0719851375 or tickets available at the door on the night.

Child & Family Counselling Service:

There will be a Church gate collection in the local churches in aid of the counselling service on Saturday & Sunday 5th & 6th October. Your support for this cause would be greatly appreciated.
