Glenswilly survived a super second-half comeback by Ardara to reach the senior club championship final at MacCumhaill Park tonight.

The men from the Glen put in a determined first half display and deservedly led by 1-8 to 0-6 at the break.

Inspired by Ciaran Bonner, Gary McFadden and Michael Murphy, Gary McDaid’s side looked like they were going to canter into the final.

But Ardara had other ideas as the pulled the game back to a draw with a few minutes left.

Glenswilly managed to get their noses in front again to lead 1-14 to 0-16 only for Ardara to hit the upright with the last kick of the game.

Ardara will rue their slow start but overall Glenswilly were deserved winners under the lights on the night.
