The board of Finn Harps Football Club has admitted this season has been a “huge disappointment.”finn harps logo

That disappointment culminated in the resignation of Harps manager  Peter Hutton following last weekend’s last home game of the season.

A statement from the board said they wanted to thank everyone who has helped the club this season.

The club has also officially advertised the job of new manager.

The statement read “The board of Finn Harps would like to place on record their gratitude to all club volunteers and supporters, and thank everyone for their hard work and loyal support throughout the 2013 season.

“Since pre-season all board members and club staff have worked together to provide an increased budget to help facilitate a competitive First Division campaign.

“However it is accepted by all that this season’s results and subsequent league position have been a huge disappointment to everyone associated with the club.

“The board of Finn Harps FC will continue to work hard to bring the club forward both on and off the pitch and will keep supporters abreast of developments in the coming weeks.”

Meanwhile, Finn Harps is inviting applicants and expressions of interest for the position of first team Manager. All applicants should hold appropriate coaching qualifications in compliance with FAI licensing criteria.

Applicants can apply in confidence to The Secretary, Finn Harps Football Club, Navenney Street, Ballybofey, County Donegal or by email to applications@finnharps.com . Closing date for applications is close of business on Friday 25th October.
