Majella O’Donnell has been dealt a new blow after her father Tom was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage.

Daniel and Majella have rushed to be beside her father Tom's bedside.

Daniel and Majella have rushed to be beside her father Tom’s bedside.

Majella and husband Daniel have jetted to Tom’s side in hospital in Tenerife where he is in a critical condition.

The heartache comes just weeks after Majella revealed she had breast cancer.

However, Majella is battling her illness and raised more than €500,000 for the Irish Cancer Society after having her head shaved on the Late Late Show.

An official announcement on Daniel’s website today cancelled a number of shows which the singer has planned in England in the coming days.

Fans have been told they will be given more news on Tom’s condition as it is made known.

A friend of the couple said they are heartbroken by the news but hoping that Tom may pull through.

“Majella is devastated and herself and Daniel have jetted to Tenerife where they have a home.

“They want to be beside Tom’s bedside and are asking everyone to pray that he makes a recovery.”
