EndaKennyTAOISEACH Enda Kenny has spent the weekend in Glencolmcille at The McGinley Clan Gathering – and has faced protests from people opposed to Government austerity policies.

Mr Kenny’s mother – Eithne McGinley – was a native of Glen.

He attended a gala dinner at the Blue Haven in Kilcar before celebrating the with relatives from all over the world.

More than 60 McGinleys from north America travelled to Donegal for the events.

Among the more famous McGinleys was of course the Taoiseach’s party colleague and junior minister Dinny McGinley.

However Donegal Action Against Austerity erected posters in the area after learning of the Taoiseach’s visit.

Several were erected in the Carrick, Glen and Kilcar areas.

The Donegal Action Against Austerity, Donegal People Before Profit, Donegal Campaign Against Home and Water Taxes groups we will hold a protest demonstration outside the Fine Gael office in Letterkenny at 1.00 pm next Friday.
