They’re not doing things by half out Glenswilly these days.

The one and only Gooch!

The one and only Gooch!

Not content with reaching the Ulster Club Championship Final, the club has signed up The Gooch!

But before fans in Foxhall dream of a deadly duo of Murphy and Cooper, it should be said it is only for the night.

Arguably one of the country’s greatest ever footballers, the Kerry star is to appear at Glenswilly’s Up for the Match event this Friday night.

Cooper will host a number of local favourites for a night of nostalgia, debate, music and craic in the clubhouse.

And hosting the event will be another local legend – Charlie Collins.

And the good news is that your name doesn’t have to be Kelly, McDaid or Bonner to join in the fun because everyone is welcome to celebrate Glenswilly’s success.

Tickets are priced at €10 for adults and just €3 for Under 16s.
