Three iconic images of Donegal from award winning photographer John Rafferty have been selected for an upcoming photographic exhibition in New York.

The remarkable images were selected from over 700 entries for an exhibition of Irish and New York landscapes at the Aisling Center in Yonkers.

The images selected, portray the rugged cliffs at Arranmore Island, a stunning sunrise at Errigal mountain from outside an Chuirt hotel and an old stone cottage on Lahan Island near Burtonport.

The winning images are also included on a 2014 calendar which goes on sale throughout the US.

John’s images have been very popular with New Yorkers for some time and by having them feature at an exhibition in the Big Apple is set to increase their desirability considerably.

A selection of John’s images can be viewed on Facebook on the ‘Photos of Donegal’ page.
