HUNDREDS of homes are without power in Co Donegal this Christmas Eve after thunderstorms and lightning and high wind earlier damaged power lines.
ESB crews say power will be restored before the night is out.
Homes cut off include:
216 homes in Muff – power will be back on around 8.30pm
89 homes in Cullion – estimated return of supply at 8.30pm.
47 homes in Ballyshannon and 36 in Pettigo – returning also at 8.30pm
36 homes in Copany, returning at 6.30pm
126 homes in Dungoe – power restore estimate of 8.15pm
127 homes in Kincasslagh, powering returning around 6.15pm
13 homes in Mullaghduff – should be back on at 6pm
168 homes in Loughanure – estimated return time of 8.30pm
20 homes in Crolly – power retired at 7pm.
