brigadeFIRE crews have put out a fire in the store of a shop in Glenties today.

Two units from the Glenties Brigade, with some firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, tackled the blaze at 11am

“A forklift which was in the store of Frank Conaghan & Son Builders Providers Shop went on fire,” said a fire brigade spokesman.

“Extensive damage was caused to the forklift and area around it.”

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

The shop was unaffected by the fire and is still open for business.
