imageThere’s still time to make a bid for a beautiful piece of original artwork by award-winning artist Marvin Baldemor.

The framed painting can be viewed at Mac’s Mace, High Road, Letterkenny and was very kindly donated by the Donegal-based artist to help raise funds following the Typhoon Haiyan disaster.

The vibrant painting reflects the artist’s interpretation between his Filipino and Irish culture.

It measures 28 x 22 inches framed.

A second painting by the artist has already been snapped up and fundraisers are hoping to receive bids to help the Irish Red Cross support its campaign in the Philippines.

An Associate member of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts and NorthWest artists group, Cuisle, Marvin has described his work as “dominated by bold colours, combining acrylic paint, sand, handmade papers, collage and ink”.

His paintings can be viewed in art galleries in Letterkenny, Ramelton, Sligo and Belfast.

Paddy Mc Teague, Respite Coordinator at Ballymacool Respite House, Letterkenny, is organising the sale of the painting.

Anyone who would like to make a bid for the picture can phone Paddy on 0872514666.

The picture will go to the highest bid.

Go along to Mac’s Mace and see the picture and make your bid!
