Col. Chris Hadfield is certainly earning his keep as tourism ambassador with this beautiful picture posted from Malin Head today.

“A sunset like no other, unbeaten January beauty on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Like standing in a painting.”

The retired Canadian astronaut was astronomically impressed with the Malin Head view commenting, “You don’t even see light this beautiful in space”.

With more than a thousand retweets and favourites, Chris’ picture is promoting Donegal’s natural beauty as it rockets throughout the Twittersphere.

Chris seems to have taken a shine to the Inishowen locals where he is now enjoying a traditional music session in McGrory’s, Culdaff.

Before the space jam, Chris had lunch in Harry’s Restaurant in Bridgend and visited a Buncrana school to learn some Irish, as he famously tweeted ‘as Gaeilge’ from space last year.
