The Chairman of Donegal South West Ógra and well known Donegal GAA referee Ian Daniel Molloy is to seek the Fianna Fáil nomination at his party selection convention on March 8th.

Ian is to run in the six seater Glenties Electoral Area.

In the pasted Molloy has served on the Ógra National Youth Committee for 18 months as a representative for 3rd level Universities and Institutes of Technology.

From 2008-2009 he also served as Communications officer on the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology Students Union.

Molloy, who is 26 next month, would most likely be the youngest candidate to stand in the Glenties Electoral Area if he receives the nomination.

The popular Glenties based referee who works for his father’s construction company, says he is hopeful of having a realistic chance of taking one of the six seats on May 23rd.
