BOMB DISPOSAL TEAM REMOVE OLD GRENADE FROM BALLYSHANNON

An army bomb disposal team has removed a grenade from the Mall Quay in Ballyshannon.Garda tape

The team arrived just before 10am and removed the device from sheds near the Quay.

It is understood the grenade, which was very old, will be disposed of using a controlled explosion at Finner Camp.

The area is now reopened to the public.
