The elderly have again been plunged into fear following four break-ins on pensioners’ homes in recent days.Burglars

The latest raid included the ransacking of an elderly woman’s home in the Drumatoland area of St Johnston.

Thankfully the woman was out of her home at the time.

However the raiders ransacked her home searching for valuables.

Gardai are still assessing what was taken during the burglary.

Two other raids also took place in the local area last night.

It comes just days after another burglary on the home of an elderly farmer, also in the St Johnston are on Thursday night last week.

Gardai have not yet established if the burglaries are connected.

The raids are the latest in a spate of burglaries in the St.Johnston, Raphoe and Convoy areas in recent weeks.
