The second golf outing season took place in the North West Golf Club, Buncrana last sunday, with a large field. The weather was fantastic and with some good high scores, it was a memorable day.
There was good performances from the seasoned performers, Liam Sweeney was in ”Electric” form Martin (the Orchard) Kelly coming in second, and Michael Gibbons (third)
1st – Liam Sweeney (39 points), 2nd Martin Kelly (36 points) and 3rd Michael Gibbons (35 points)
Cat 1 – Kieran Sweeney ( yes you got it brother of the winner – nice to keep it in the family)
Cat 2 – Tony Duffy. Cat 3 – Ed Cassidy. Cat 4 – Paidin Cavanagh.
Front 9 went to the new comer – Adey McAlary, Back 9 went to the captain from last year Brian (the Doc) Carney. The 2’s went our captain Kieran Sweeney, The Glencar Inn Golf Society would like to thank the North West Golf Club, Buncrana for their cooperation on the day, and the food afterwards was fantastic. Our next outing will take place on sunday 16th march at Rosapenna Golf Club (Old Tom Morris Course) first tee off 10.30 am – hope to see everyone wearing their colours!
