LARISSA’S MOMENT OF TWICKENHAM GLORY NOT ENOUGH FOR IRISH VICTORY

Larissa heading for the line and Ireland’s try

DONEGAL rugby star Larissa Muldoon scored a wonderful try for Ireland against England at Twickenham this evening – but it wasn’t enough to secure another Triple Crown.

The hosts – aided by some bizarre refereeing decisions – eventually won 17-10.

But Cappry woman Larissa, along with Fahan woman Nora Stapleton, played fantastically for their country.

The result came just after the men’s team lost 13-10 to England in their 6 Nations game.

It was a disappointing result for the Donegal duo, but just like the men, they can still go on and win the Championship.
