St Eunan'sA YOUNG St Eunan’s Ladies team have been crowned the Crossmaglen 7s Shield Champions today.

The team – all aged under 20 – took Ballyhegan to extra time in the final of the prestigious senior ladies tournament.

And then the Letterkenny girls beat the fancied Armagh team handsomely, showing all that hard work in the convent gym paid off.

The final score was 2-10 to 2-04.

Proud manager Alan O’Connell said: “It was a fantastic day for us.

“We had such a young squad with us and the girls performed brilliantly.”
