GAA NEWS – LETTERKENNY GAELS WISH CIARAN CANNON LUCK IN UNDER 21 GAME

Good luck to Ciaran Cannon and the Donegal U21 team on Wednesday night as they open their Ulster Championship campaign at Mac Cumhaill Park against Fermanagh.LETTERKENNY GAELS

Club members wishing to avail of Club Donegal should contact Jim on 0862271435. Membership includes free admission to all adult Club League and Championship games in the county for 2014.

Well done to Sean Mc Donagh, Paddy Doherty, Cormac Cannon and the St. Eunans Collage team on winning the MacLarnon Cup final against Colaisti Inish Eoghain on St. Patrick’s Day. Final score 1.07-1.05

Our Minors had no game last weekend. This Sunday they play away to St.Eunan’s in what should be an entertaining derby game.

The U14 team were defeated last Sunday at home to Termon. Next up this Sunday our neighbours Glenswilly make the short trip down river to Pairc na nGael. Training continues at Game on Sports on Mondays from 6-7pm & Fridays 8-9pm. New players welcome.

As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge a number of club members helped out with the Annual Church gate collection for Comhaltas Uladh at the Church of the Irish Martyrs on St. Patrick’s Day.

All managers are reminded that the pitch is only open for competitive games until further notice.

Club gear can be purchased from Donegal Sports (Hats, Hoodies, Tracksuits, Training tops, etc.)

Club members are being encouraged to purchase tickets for the Allianz leagues in advance and avail of a saving of €5. Tickets can be purchased at selected Super Value/Centra stores or at gaa.ie, or via tickets.ie

U6 Football is on Friday evenings from 6-6.45pm at the Woodlands school. New players welcome.

U8 Football will resume in the coming weeks at Páirc na nGael. Check press or club Facebook for updates.

Camogie training continues every Tuesday evening – 1st, 2nd & 3rd class-Woodlands School 6-6.45pm. 4th & 5th class – Game on Sports 7-8pm. 6th class & Secondary school-Game on Sports 7.30 – 8.30 pm. It is great to see so many new players enjoying Camogie. Contact 086 8163605 for information. New players welcome.

Hurling training for U6, U8, U10 and U12 continues every Thursday evening from 6-7pm at Game on Sports. Hurley’s and helmets provided for training.

Senior Ladies Football training continues every Tuesday from 8-9pm at Game on Sports. New members welcome.

Lotto numbers for week ending the 16th March were 18, 19, 20 &22. Match 3 winner was Hughie Sweeney, Glencar Park. This week’s jackpot is €2150.
