With just five weeks to go, the people of Ramelton have a mountain to climb – or rather three!

A dozen people from the Ramelton Town Band including instructors , parents and family members of Ramelton Town Band are to take on the challenge of climbing Croagh Patrick in Co.Mayo, Sleive Donard in Co. Down, and Mount Errigal in Co. Donegal on the 25th, 26th and 27th of April.

The Three Peaks Challenge team has been in training since January where Joe and Amy Wilson of the Donegal Black Dragon Kickboxing Club in Letterkenny have been helping them raise their fitness levels for the challenge.

As the weeks get closer the training is intensifying as they are out now at least once or twice a week climbing and hill walking around Donegal.

Some of the team celebrated St Patricks Day by traveling to Co. Down and trotted up Sleive Donard , to see excatly what lies ahead of them all.

there response to there fellow team members , was it was hard, very very hard , but they still did it and so they shall again.

The team would like to invite everyone to join and support them on their climb up the last mountain – Mount Errigal here in Donegal. That takes place on Sunday the 27th of April , anyone interested please assemble at 10.30 am at Errigal car park. Donations on the day are kindly welcome.
