MAJELLA PUBLISHES ‘NO MAKE-UP’ SELFIE TO HELP RAISE MORE CASH FOR CANCER CHARITY

majellaHER remarkable decision to have her hair shaved off on the Late Late Show has already raised €600,000 for charity – now Majella O’Donnell has joined the latest craze of posting a ‘no make-up’ selfie in a bid to raise more money.

The 53-year-old wife of singer Daniel O’Donnell posted this picture on her Twitter account today and then joked: “I really haven’t a clue what I’m doing so I hope I don’t make a big boobie and post something I didn’t mean to post!”

Majella underwent a double mastectomy last month after recovering from breast cancer.

She’s now urging more donations to the Irish Cancer Society, to add to the hundreds of thousands of euro she raised last autumn.

She is also backing the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day which takes place this  Friday, 28th March.

The #nomakeupselfie trend, which has gone viral on both Twitter and Facebook, has helped raise huge funds for cancer charities around the world.

Majella is hoping another €600,000 can be raised with the selfies on social media.

Meanwhile husband Daniel – who is quitting tours next year to spend more time with his wife – is continuing his world tour.

And meeting loads of people from Donegal.
