KAVANAGH SLAMS DELAY IN UPGRADING LETTERKENNY ROAD

Fine Gael councillor Jimmy Kavanagh has slammed the delay in upgrading Letterkenny’s Glencar Road.floods

Cllr Kavanagh says that the upgrading has gone on too long on the road which was flooded last July.

“Money has been agreed to fix the road since last year, but repairs are still waiting to be completed.

“The road is an extremely busy one, and has also been prone to accidents.

“Drivers should not in addition face the prospect of damaging their vehicles, because of the potholes on the road.

“I understand from speaking to council officials, that the delay has been caused by a contractor not completing the work as previously agreed and scheduled.

“I now call on the council to pull out all the stops to get works on the road completed as soon as possible”.
