Tina: Looking for her grandad

A SCOTTISH girl has made an impassioned plea to find her Donegal granda, admitting: “He doesn’t even know me and my mum exist.”

Tanya Burnett contacted Donegal Daily hoping that she will be able to finally find family members here – and specifically in Killybegs, after 47 years of no contact.

Said Tina: My grandad was Eoghan Skeffington and from Killybegs.

“He moved over to Aberdeen when he was in his early 30s where he met my grandma, Patricia Fetch.

“They seperated when my grandad moved back to Killybegs and my grandma found out she was pregnant soon after.

“She attempted to contact him numerous times but never heard anything from him after he moved home.

“My grandma was 22 when she gave birth to mum and is now 69. I don’t know too much about him, other than that he had respiratory problems and was a member of the British Legion.”

Said Tina: “He would be around 80 years old now (maybe just short of it) and still has no idea he has a daughter and 5 grandchildren.

“I would desperately love to find him.”
