DONEGAL is set to bask in glorious sunny weather over the Easter weekend, forecasters have said.
It’s going to start off with a great day today with temperatures soaring this afternoon.
RTE had been predicting rain for Donegal all week.
But last night the Met Eireann forecasters completely revised the forecast, giving wall-to-wall sunshine for Good Friday after a frosty start.
There will be more sunshine on Saturday AND Sunday.
And while temperatures might hit 15C today, it will be a couple of degrees cooler by Easter Sunday afternoon.
The dry weather is good news for businesses too across Donegal, particularly for retailers and those in the tourism industry.
Hotels are reporting bookings up on last year.
There may be a slight blip around Tuesday with the possibility of some light rain, before thing settle down and temperatures rise again later in the week.
