MAN KILLED AFTER CAR COLLAPSES ON HIM

BREAKING NEWS: An elderly man has been killed in a tragic accident in Ballybofey today.

Gardai are at the scene of the tragedy.

The man, who was in his mid 70s, was killed while he was working on a car at Glencovitt.

It is understood the man died after the car came down on top of him while he was working beneath it.

Locals say the man, who has a grown-up family, was discovered by his son who also works alongside him.

Gardai and the emergency services are at the scene.

The Health and Safety Authority have also been informed of the tragedy and are expected to launch a full investigation into the incident.

The man has been named locally but his name is not being officially released until all relatives are informed.
