Sam and Neil in happier times.

A young Donegal lad with severe epilepsy has put out a heartfelt appeal to find his best friend and dog Sam.

Neil Daniel has been left heartbroken since his beloved collie dog went missing on Sunday night last.

The 10 year old boy is lost without his faithful companion whose company he finds therapeutic.

Sam has been missing from the Gleneely area near Culdaff since Sunday night at about 11pm.

He is a black and white collie but mostly white, he has one black eye and one white eye.

He is distinctive in that his front right leg has a shaven patch on it following recent treatment by his vet.

Neil’s mum says he is just devastated at losing Sam saying they went everywhere together.

“Sam is such a very friendly dog who is loved by all children who are all very upset,” she said.

A reward has been offered for the safe return of Sam. Anyone who may have seen him or who may know where he is should telephone or text 0862154587.
